Three+ years the Mr. and I have lived in this bedroom:

Goodbye pops of yellow from our last master bedroom.
You may remember, I got a little ambitious and sold our bed prematurely to make room for the DIY one that was in my head. Then a year went by with our bed on the floor before we actually got around to making it. Picture that people.

The master bedroom is coming along nicely.
Fabric arrived which means pillows and curtains are being sewn. I'll be picking up paint tomorrow and stenciling the main wall. And, my rusted stool experiment is supposed to be completed this weekend.
In true interior-design-attention-deficit fashion I'm already making big plans for my next project before my current one is complete.
The bunk beds have been working out fabulously except...

3 years is plenty long of living with the mattress on the floor, graffiti on the walls and a changing table in the corner.
It's way past due for us to get our act together and create a grown up bedroom.
The room has transformed in to a color scheme of navy, green, white, gold and wood tones.
My sweet mom drove up from Vegas to help take over DIY'ing the bed, pillows and curtains. To say she is amazingly talented is an understatement.
I finally have momentum behind the room and baby it feels

I can't remember having as much difficulty putting our Arizona master bedroom together as I'm having with this Utah master bedroom.
Hard to choose but I'm going with AZ master bedroom as my favorite room of the whole house. It was my little sanctuary.

The story of our master bedroom is a story about a room that just can't get done.
It's a room that just keeps getting pushed lower and lower on the to-do priority list.
Unfortunately, I'm not the type of person who does just a temporary decorating fix until the master plan comes together.
Oh no. The pretty bed is sold as it the yellow dresser, night stands, art, lamps...it's all gone.
I'm an all or nothin' type of gal.
