Last night at 1800 hours we all met for 5 rounds of Nerf combat training.
These ain’t no games for the faint of heart.
It was the Sergent’s vs. the Rookies.
Casualties are common (as well as pouting).
One hit, you’re out.
Wouldn’t you know it in the last round I took a Nerf dart to the eye. I really did shoot my eye out! 12 hours later I still see only black out of the bottom portion of my right eye.
After a visit to the eye doctor today I will be purchasing eye protection for everyone or those d#@* guns will be in the garbage.

We had a similarly epic battle over Thanksgiving between my fiance, his sister (a police detective), a niece, two nephews, and one excited golden retriever. It was awesome.

My kiddos got Nerf guns for Christmas as we also had a ‘war’ last night. Next time my brothers come over, I’m hiding those damn things!!

I have three boys (8, 6 and 2), and shhhh … don’t tell anyone. I THREW ALL OF OUR NERF GUNS AND DARTS AWAY. Like, in the trash. Gone forever. 😉
My guys and gal having been doing the same thing since Christmas. I owe my parents a huge thank you (not!) for the nerf guns and “bullets.”
