Yard Sale!

March 21, 2012 by Michelle Hinckley |

Everyone ought to move every now and then to take inventory of all the STUFF they’ve accumulated and get rid of it.  Our remodeled house has more sq footage than our last house but less liveable sq footage.
Make sense?
Since the basement is unfinished there is less space to furnish.
Why not just store it in the basement?
My thinking exactly!
Husband: Absolutely not!
Yard sale time.
Before I haul everything to driveway and let people offer me $2.00 for something with a $50.00 price tag I thought I’d let you take a sneak peak .
See something you like…
shoot me an email for my address and come buy my junk stuff Saturday morning at 8am (Sandy, UT).
Pottery Barn desk (on the left).
All together you would pay about $800. retail see here.
I’ll let it go for $250.
Vintage chandelier with crystals: $200.
Ikea dining table with two leaves: $125.
I bought this as Z Gallerie then my kiddos broke it the same day.
If you face the crack in the back you can’t even tell it’s flawed.
Retail: $99.
Your price: $15.00
Vintage shelf: $25.00
I’m sobbing that I’m selling this beauty mid-century glass table.
WISH I could find a spot for it.
$150.
Hang on to this and make a fortune.  Pay phones are almost extinct with the invention of cell phones.
$50.00
Vintage lamps.
This is another boo-hoo sale.
I wish I could use these but they just don’t fit in to my decor.
Here they are featured on Decor Pad.
And here again featured on Decorno.
Price for the pair: $110.
I hauled this guy all the way from Virginia on the airplane with my husband rolling his eyes the whole way home.
$35.00
Vintage nut/candy machine: $50.
Wish I had a better pic of this lamp.  It’s got a vintage pic of a sailboat.
Okay I should reveal my husband rolled his eyes the whole way home on the plane from Virginia because I had this other lamp in my other arm.
$35.00
Lamp on the desk and still has the tag on it.
$15.
Two canvases:
$15.00
I had a TON of baby items to include this swing ($35), a jumper, a baby bath that we never used, I  co-sleeper (never used) which also doubles as a play pen, one of those thingies that a baby lays under and watches all the toys above him?

I’ll be selling a ton of things on Saturday morning.  If you’re interested in coming shoot me an email:
smhinckley (at) yahoo (dot) com.
(Located in Sandy, UT).

As a military family, we usually move every three years, YIKES! I pair down and pair up again and again, but the classic and key pieces always make the move! We used to have a farewell party and make every guest take something from a “gift” table. Like a swap party without the swap. Always felt good.

Id like the vintage shelf($25). Are you willing to ship or is this just for local readers?
    I’m emailing you now…

COOL stuff 🙂 I would LOVE that payphone! I could mount it to the wall with a quote that says “Here’s a quarter, call somebody who cares!”

How much does a pay phone call cost nowadays??! How sad they are practically extinct now 🙁

Sailboat lamp! Going to bribe my sister to pick up and drive it to Colorado. Conducting my own east coast pre-move purge. But I have to have that lamp. Shoeobsessedone(at)hotmail.com

Is it bad that jumping on a plane did run through my mind (we are in Indiana). Gorgeous stuff and I would LOVE to take it off your hands. Sadly, we are too far away. You could get a shipping service to sponsor the site, then we would be in business:)

The white table with the tags still on it, how much? Also what about the white circle mirror above it too? Where are you? I’m in NC but would gladly pay for shipping on several of your items. Perhaps I could even manage a company to come out and pack & ship for you. To avoid the hassle?
