Wingbacks on my mind.

August 11, 2009 by Michelle Hinckley |

You may recall my funny little round room that I’ve talked about before. It acts as a hallway and leads to the kitchen, front entryway and dining/family room. It’s such a puzzling space. I’ve finally decided to make it an informal breakfast nook and plan to do this sort of staging:

Photo: ?

I’ve been dilligently on the lookout for a couple of wingback chairs. Could these be any cooler?

I came accross this photo of Condoleezza Rice (www.casasugar.com) in these lovely wingbacks…

Don’t these Craiglist Wings look similar? And at $50.00 / a piece! Oh, the possibilities!

Owner, please email me back already! Please don’t tell me you sold them within one hour of listing them. I know my three emails is bordering stalking but your chairs are perfect for my round room. Please contact me…a phone call, an email, a smoke signal…I promise I’ll treat them with care!

    Michelle,
Love your talent with interior decorating! Correction on your picture — it’s not Mrs. Obama, it’s Condaleeza (spelling?) Rice.

I love a wingback. I found mine on craigslist for $15. I planned on covering it with a white slipcover but right now it sits coverless in my bedroom. And it looks great.

Keep looking – you will come across a cheaper one! you only have one to find anyway. I also like the idea of a breakfast nook in the “rotunda”. Makes you feel like you’re in a grand hotel somewhere in Arizona!!! Here’s a an idea for makeover of the Rotunda Room – put a dome on it and naturallights/skylight seep in – wow!!!

i think you would be proud, you will have to keep watching my blog i found a great/fantastic/beautiful chair and matching ottoman on our little ksl.com here in slc! i have plans in the works to redo my front room and family room…..i am sure it will in no way compare to your amazing talent, but also on ksl.com i have found a jackpot! a bunch of model homes are being closed and they are selling all of the furniture! woohoo….wish me luck.
oh ya, i LOVE the yellow wing backs! Does Jake always go along with your decor or does he just say whatever? Gregg doesn’t trust me right now!
