What to do with large bare walls.

September 30, 2010 by Michelle Hinckley |

One of the age old questions in design is what to do with a large bare wall. Custom art can be expensive and then what do you do when you tire of it?
Michelle Rasmussen of Wondertime Photo (and our newest sponsor) has come of with a perfect solution for her clients. She does custom photography pieces that add personality to bare walls. When she suggested three large canvases for my living room I thought it might be overbearing but I trusted her suggestion and am so glad I did. Not only do they look great but I think my boys feel a sense of importance as well.

Check out some of Michelle’s other work in her client’s homes.

Michelle has been our family photographer since the birth of my first son. Not only does she know how to make someone feel comfortable in front of the camera but has the eye to catch the essesence of her clients. For a truly personal and professional experience, she’s your woman!

This is such a great idea…I have SO many bare walls. I never realized what a challenge decorating walls with 11 foot ceilings!

I really love the orientation of the family photo and kids photos on the yellow background. Must find myself a similar nook in my new house!!

A good photograph is always a great way to decorate any sparse wall, especially one that takes up most of the room. I came across your post this afternoon while browsing interior design blogs and your take on interior décor is exquisite. Are there any window coverings that you’d recommend to cover a bare wall with a big window? It is true that you must dress your windows appropriately to bring out their true beauty. Thank you for writing and as a special thanks to you and your readers, I would like to offer a 20% off coupon using this code upon checkout: BLG20.
