What the heck is this?

June 22, 2009 by Michelle Hinckley |

For Father’s Day we gave our daddy some pretty ties that he’s been wanting (boring).
To jazz things up we also gave him one of these.
Jake’s reaction: “What the heck is this?”
Me: “A Neti Pot.”
Me: “You’ve been been complaining about your terrible allergies and I’ve found your cure!” (A wrapped up bottle of Sudafed just didn’t seem to be as exciting.)
Jake: Furled eyebrow and blank stare.
Me: “I can see you love it!”
(Next year I’m going to give him an ear candle).
Here’s a YouTube demo of how it works.
Warning: this is gonna seem weird!
I gave one of these to my dad last year who gets the worst allergy symptoms of anyone I know and he has almost completely gone off all his allergy medicine. Another friend uses her Neti Pot morning and night and no longer has any allergy symtoms at all.
Happy Father’s Day Jake…we love you!
Would you ever try this…comments?

Wow that is crazy!! But if I ever had bad allergies I guess I would try it. My grandfather has this Cayenne pepper nose spray that he makes and one spray and he’s good for the rest of the season… Did I mention it probably burns out anything inside the nose since it is so hot? But It is worth it for no allergies. I will have to tell him about the Neti Pot

Okay, that video made me laugh hysterically! Have fun with that Jake…lol! Although funny, I say if it really works, use it! Be sure to bring it to Utah with you when you come so we can see it in action.

Josh is allergic to EVERYTHING! I think he would try the Neti if he didn’t already do allergy shots that help him (good thing our insurance covers them 100% or that would be too expensive and we would be back at the Neti pot)…

i don’t know….i think i would but you suggested it for my 6 year old….um i don’t know how i could get him to sit still that long to actually let it run through his nose. this year i would try anything!

OK everyone – especially you Jake… you’re going to love it!! I have something similar, and when I first tried it I had such bad allergies that my nose and face hurt!! (No, that’s not a joke) 24 hours later I had no pain and my allergies were soooo much better. It’s an odd sensation at first, but I’m telling you it’s so worth feeling odd! Now I only have to do it about once a week. Give it a try, Jake. What do you have to lose??

I was cracking up at that video. But if it works then why not! I am curious to know if Jake has tried it or not. If he has will you ask him to make an instructional video including the toe touches.

BTW… I did find my dream diaper bag and it was only $465. Chump change!! (yah right)… I guess I need to keep on looking.

LOL!! I hope it works– and I hope you take a picture of Jake using it..Actually, our little boy has terrible allergies so I may try this. Although we’ll have to call it something different since his aunts name is neti..

I got one for my better half she has terrible allergies. Once I did get her to try it she swore that I was trying to drown her. Yes she was serious. 🙂

Was it a hit? My mother-in-law has had allergy issues for years and has not found a cure, I want to get her this, but am not sure if she would try it.
