Monday morning and back to the grind. My hubby was home for the past two weeks depleting his “use it or loose it” vacation time and now he’s back to work. I had a honey-do list a mile long and the only things we crossed off were cleaning the ceiling fans and cleaning under the washer and dryer. He also attempted a third try at refinishing our dining table after some polyurethane blips and has about called it quits. I’m going to have to come up with some “special favors” to keep him at it.
On a different note, my new West Elm catalogue arrived in the mail and I was pleasantly surprised. Here are few things on my wish list:
Wondering if I can turn my DIY owl in to a lamp similar to West Elm’s version?
I’m thinking a couple of these lamp/sconces would be perfect above my boys headboards.
I’m a sucker for lacquered anything. These yellow ones would go perfect in my den.
Loving these striped hand towels. Speaking of stripes…

they definitely do take a hint from us… their new paper catalong features all sorts of etsy works and artists as well which i thought was awesome. i already had a trip there planned tomorrow to pick up one of their new rugs- i love it! i will probably show it off later this week. i heart west elm.

Great stuff! I see blog influenced design cropping up everywhere. Did you see some of the Christmas line at Target? heavy blog land influence.

first, i LOVE everything you listed from west elm.
second, i looked at your DIY owl and it made me thrilled i purchased a pair of owls last week at goodwill for a single buck that hang on the wall and planned on sprayin them white. i didnt know how it would turn out but they look alot like the “before” of your owl so i’m heading out for lacquered spray paint today! LOVE it.
Love West Elm, just got my catlog in the mail yesterday and fell in love with a whole lot of stuff.
i just bought their gray and white striped shower curtain for my newly renovated bathroom! i’ll email you a photo when she’s all finished.
