walk down memory lane.

November 11, 2009 by Michelle Hinckley |

I’m about 4 years behind in my scrapbooking. I’m not sure if I should go back to where I left off or just start from this point on. Does it really matter? I just piddle around with the pictures when I attempt to scrapbook and then get nothing done anyway.

I came accross an old home flyer from our very first house. We painted every wall, put in new flooring throughout, meticulously cared for our backyard…those were the days.

I’ve always heard to start with current photos and do old ones as time permits. Supposed to be less overwhelming, but scrapbooking in general becomes overwhelming for me! I’d think it would be resourceful to focus on current pics, but work smart. Like, when doing Halloween pages, and you have all the papers and elements out, also do pages for past Halloweens.

You mean you haven’t jumped on the digital wagon yet? Photobooks through Blurb, Shutterfly, My Publisher…
I am current with both of my kids’ scrapbooking (up to the month) then at the end of the year I just sit down for a few hours and plug it all in. A Lot of times just coping journaling from my blog and pasting it into the book. Works well for me, though I know there are some that love to get their hands dirty with scrapbooking 🙂

Scrapbooking always sounds like a fun idea but I just don’t have the attention span for it. I sure love crafting with scrapbook goodies though.

Your 1st home is beautiful but I like your current on too!!

those were the days….your older house was just as beautiful as your new! ooohhh i am soo soo envious.
as for scrapbooking….there is no right or wrong way to do it. just get it done when/if you can! i always make/give myself way to many unattainable goals. i just need to get a goal to get working on it consistently and it will be done!
btw….i have been on blogging hiatus and i have missed so much! looking through all your posts i am floored as usual at the beauty of your designs. i love love love your bedroom. you pulled it off fantastically! congrats! still working on ours….we ended up taking an unexpected vacation that soaked up so much of my money once again the design will be put on the back burner!

Shutterfly all the way! I used to work at a scrapbook store, so I was obsessed. Then when I moved on it became overwhelming. Digital is the way to go!
