Valentine’s Day Project #2

January 31, 2012 by Michelle Hinckley |

Before Thanksgiving dinner I took this picture of my boys.
I thought it would be a perfect Valentine picture of my baby with his little red bow tie.
So I turned to Picnik.  As you may have heard, they are closing in April.  I can’t tell you how angry I am about the news.  It is the most user friendly photo editing site I’ve found and they will be no more.  For the next 2 1/2 months it’s still around though.
Out of the several pictures I took I just couldn’t get all three boys to look at the camera and smile at the same time.  So for this purpose I erased the other two using the  “Clone” feature.  You just click on a part of the photo you want to repeat or “clone” over the parts you don’t want and viola!
I then used the “text” feature to write “Happy Valentine’s Day” down one side.

There you have a simple, cute,  little handout treat.

WAAAHHH!!! I had NOT heard that about Picnik! That’s the only site I’ve ever been able to figure out (not very tech savvy). Why are they closing down??
BTW, that baby boy is just too precious for words- gorgeous!

That was my favorite thing about picnik. Well, that and the teeth whitening since it fixes a strange shadow on my front teeth.

Love your valentines day picture and treats!

I am sad/angry about picnik closing too:(

Love the picture of your little guy! What a sweetheart he is! I can totally relate with having 3 boys myself, one of them is always either not looking or making a weird face, lol!

So cute! I’m a sucker for a bow-tie. No kids here yet but I do manage to get hubby to wear one on ocassion and even found a bowtie collar for my fur-baby;)

Just so you know, most of Picniks features will be rolled into google+ so you’ll still be able to access them!
