Updates and a 1/2 DIY.

June 15, 2012 by Michelle Hinckley |

I had lots of projects planned to share this past week but they seemed so very unimportant as Cali fought for her life.  I knew her situation was serious but I had no idea just HOW dire until I heard what the doctor had to say.  Only 4 cases like hers have been recorded in the U.S.
After flat-lining twice Cali fought back.  Talk about a miracle.
A donation account has been set up to help with the medical expenses that have incurred.
Go here to find out more.
Thank you again for all your prayers and well wishes.
In other, less important news…
I was so excited to share our subway tiled backsplash that I diy’ed but when it came time for the grout I threw in the towel.
Sometimes you need to know when to call in a professional and that is just what I did.
1 1/2 hours later the project was complete.
After watching him work I was convinced that grouting is an art.
I also want to give a shout out to one of our sponsors Frog Tape for providing us with some of their tape.
I didn’t even think to use it until the tiler recommended it.
It saved my cabinets, counters and walls from a haze of Pearl Gray grout.
If I would have used it during my grouting attempt I wouldn’t be going back and having to repaint my baseboards, ceiling and walls.  Ugh. Live and learn.
More fun things to share next week!
