Since moving in to our new/old house we’ve found that about 10% of our furniture actually fits.
So as I slowly sell those pieces I’m looking to replace them.
I’ve been out and about searching for some new end tables and a large area rug.
Here are some other things that side tracked me:
Overstock has an outlet that sells slightly damaged pieces
(although I hunted and couldn’t find a mark on most anything).
(8900 S. 1300 E. in Sandy).
Everything is 50% off the price listed on the tag.
50% off $182.00 is $91.00 (for two chairs) which is $45.50 per chair. Not bad.
Then I ran in to these cute little tables which I’m contemplating for my guest room.
The price was certainly right. $42. with 50% off is $21.00 (for two tables) which means $10.50 per table!
Then on to HomeGoods.
I found several occasional tables I could have gone home with.
This chest of drawers was all busted up but I love the nail head detail.
I would have omitted the nail head from the drawer faces…feels a bit too busy.
I feel a diy project coming on!
(BTW, several of you have asked if I would ship my furniture. I’m not ignoring you. Honestly, trying to go figure out shipping costs feels like a big chore. Anyone who has an Etsy store have any good tips for calculating, shipping, insuring pieces)?

OMG I can’t beleive those prices! so cheap!
Even the Eames knockoffs here are at least 150$ each!
I wish overstock shipped furniture to Canada…

$45.50 per chair, not bad? It’s an absolute steal! I paid almost $300 each for my Eames chairs similar to those. I hope you snatched them up!

You should have your buyers use uShip.com to have the furniture shipped. It’s like eBay, but the carriers place bids on how much they would charge to move the furniture. The buyer then chooses what offer to accept. Then you are off the hook. I’ve used it once to move a custom bed to AZ from CA. It was way cheaper than using a normal freight company.

Can you list your big furniture items on your local Craigslist? I would think that would be a heck of a lot easier on you than having to ship things.

I don’t have an etsy shop, but I did recently buy three stools made from reclaimed barn wood off etsy. The stools are extremely heavy (over 30lds each, easily) and would have cost hundreds and hundreds (i think she said around $400) to ship via fed ex or ups. Instead, the seller shipped them to me via greyhound bus, and the cost was only $90 for all three! I did have to pick them up from the station instead of having them brought to my door, but it was well worth it for such a dramatic price difference. I am not sure if there is insurance or anything, but I would say it is definitely worth looking into!

ship via greyhound package express. They just have to give you a telephone number and greyhound bus station that is near them. You drop it off at your closest greyhound bus station and then they pick it up at the bus station they gave you. It usually only takes 1-7 days!

I had no idea Overstock actually had brick and mortar shops! Those chairs are awesome & of course HG always wins me over.
Wish I could help with the shipping but my Etsy shop ships invitations (it was a headache figuring just that out!) much cheaper than figuring out furniture I suppose! LOL

Wow, those are very different tables and styles, but each photo is really cool. Love the nail-head trim on the last one.

Good to know about the Overstock warehouse – I live in Layton but had no idea this store was in Sandy!! Coincidentally, I saw this same dresser at the Home Goods in Farmington this afternoon! The one there was in excellent shape, but I agree about it being a little too busy. But a great DIY idea!!! 😉
