Have you ever gone to a store for nothing in particular…just to kill time? Then all of the sudden, you see it, and it sees you. Time goes in slow motion. Harps begin to play. You see your soul mate in the form of a piece of furniture. That’s pretty much the story when I saw this vintage, metal table.
And my diy toy box fits perfectly under it…how serendipitous is that?
I found it at the Old Flamingo…same place I found the vintage metal dresser a few months ago that now sits in my guest room.
Remington Rand has made several odds and ends but is most well known known for manufacturing typewriters and guns (obvious combination).
(Because you don’t want to be caught without a gun when you’re typing).
I want to say it’s a piece from 1930-40 but I very well could be wrong.
Whatever its history I love it. I might even get adventurous one day and strip it down to it’s metal bare bones.
The back two legs are on casters. A small detail that makes my heart swoon.
I have so many projects from fixing a fence, changing light fixtures, landscaping and windows in need of blinds. The GC will be put to good use!
I love the casters!
What a fun find! Add me to the caster lovin’ club too!
Great find Michelle! I love this piece. I don’t blame you for wanting to strip it down one day, but oddly enough the rusty/decaying 2 front legs are what I like the most about it 🙂 Screams character.
Yay…so glad you love it too! I just can’t decide about the paint…I DO love it as well but might change it up one day. Thanks for your comment!
I will be remodeling a small bathroom and I could really use that Home Depot gift card! 🙂
And I love the table! 🙂
What a great find! love it!
She is a beauty!
Beautiful, if you ever need help window sparkles North Las Vegas locations can help you.
Nice find!
‘….caught without a gun while you are typing’ that is too funny. Cool piece and I love the description of the feeling you get when you see your furniture soul mate! That’s how I felt today when I nabbed my dream kitchen table at a yard sale for $30!
NO WAY! $30.!!! Please share pics…I’ve got to see this dream table!
Hi Michelle,
I was tickled to see it found a good home. I loved this when I found it early this year. I think it may have been in a medical or dental office. It looks great. I have another medical cabinet that I’m getting ready to sell. It is much taller. I’m no longer with the Old Flamingo. Working for home now. I love your site.
Noooooooooo! No longer with Old Flamingo? Say it isn’t so! So how can I see your stuff, including the taller medical cabinet?
