Tool for detecting water leaks.

October 31, 2017 by Michelle Hinckley |

I’ve been helping my dad manage some of his investment properties as of late.  A few months ago we had a severe rain storm which caused some flooding here in Salt Lake.  Unfortunately one of his properties flooded overnight which caused major headaches and $$$ in repairs.

Recently Delta Faucet came out with a new device that can detect leaks or flooding immediately when they happen.
I was all ears.
Delta calls it their Water Leak Detector and is approximately the size of a donut.

It works by syncing the device to your phone.  You then place it anywhere that might be prone to leaks (bathroom, under a sink, near a water heater, washing machine, basement, etc).  If the device gets wet, an alert is immediately sent to your phone then notifying you that a leak has occurred.

I can’t tell you how much we wished we had one of these Leak Detectors in all my dad’s properties.  The device cost is a little over $100.  Small price to pay in comparison to how much damage to property a flood costs.

Now for some exciting news.  Delta Faucet is running a sweepstakes where you could win a Water Leak Detector.  All you have to do is post a photo or video on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #LeakDetectSweepstakes and tag @DeltaFaucet. Each week throughout November, four winners will be rewarded with a Delta leak detector, and be featured on Delta’s Inspired Living blog.

To find out how to purchase your own Water Leak Detector go to Delta Faucet’s website.
