My sweet brother and sister in-law welcomed baby Oakland in to the world today.
This was an especially triumphant occasion for them because a little over a year ago they lost their first baby. Two days before baby Mac was due, Cali went in for a routine check-up and doctors were unable to find Baby Mac’s heartbeat. You can see his story here.
God bless this beautiful family! Congratulations. What a touching story …
Wow. Tears. I somehow found their story a few months ago and just cried and cried for hours. I am SO HAPPY to hear that they have welcomed a new baby! They deserve it! <3
Very touching. I wish them all the best.
Congratulations! What an amazingly tortuous journey to parenthood, but I’m so happy for them and baby Oakland. God works in mysterious ways, but when He grants a blessing, it is always unmistakable!
A very happy congratulations to your brother and sister-in-law. The loss of a child is something that impacts your life forever…and in the same way the birth of a child brings so much healing. This month is the 6 year anniversary of our first son’s “birth” into Heaven. We are now incredibly blessed with a son who is 20 months old and has done so much to help heal our hearts. I know this new baby will do the same for your family.
Blessings, Grace
Congrats to them, what a wonderful blessing!
Yes — it’s a very good day!((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))
what an absolutely heartbreaking story… congratulations to your family and what a beautiful photo of a happy mother 🙂
I just found your blog and then read about sweet Mac. Aren’t we glad that we have our faith to give us peace… Families are Forever!
I read their story a while ago and was floooooded in tears. Even my 9 year old son sat here with me. I am so happy for them. What a blessing…Thank the Lord.
She is a Mother warrior. Wow.
I have a 5 year old named Oakley, so I love the name she chose.
God bless.
What a wonderful wonderful blessing for this family. Thanks for sharing their story!
i have to say i cried all afternoon reading the story of McKallister last week. My aunt went through a similar experience and it hit very close to home.
Thanks for sharing!
Oh my goodness. I clicked over through the link and was so saddened as I sat & read & listened {I’m still listening}. I am so thankful that they now have baby Oakland, though it will never take away the hole in their heart from Mac.
I had a miscarriage in Sep 08, and again this last Oct. I’m longing desperately for God to bless us again with a baby.
Prayers to you all through this time as you rejoice a new life, and continue to mourn the death of another precious baby.
