Singing in the Rain.

July 29, 2010 by Michelle Hinckley |

Year-around rain in the desert is non-existent.

I think mother nature saves the rain up all year
then unleashes it during monsoon season.

We don’t mind.

We know how to throw a street party like nobody’s business!

We live in Tempe… and I think you sent the monsoon storm to us… 😀 We got it much later… abt 8pm. Loved it! I normally hate rain, but when it’s warm outside… it’s just so much fun! My only wish is that it would have happened earlier so the kids could have enjoyed it! Love the umbrella, diaper and crocs shot! 😀

We do the same thing here in Utah in the Winter time when it snows….but not in diapers.

Looks like a fun afternoon. I remember playing in the puddles after a rainstorm when I was younger. Good memories. It’s been a while since I did it… I should share it with my boys the next time it rains in ABQ. Have a good week!

Just like in Fiji, but the kids like to take “rain baths”! The kids bring their shampoo out and wash their hair in the rain!
I remember getting stuck at a house on my mission during a monsoon, because the washes were full.

I love these pictures, makes me want to jump right in…except for the fact that I’m seating in a freezing cold office right now and I’m missing my blanky…but if I was warm I’ll be right there!
