Hi Peeps!
I’m headed to Salt Lake City, UT and can’t miss an opportunity to hit some great shopping while I’m there. Does anyone know of any great antique stores or thrift stores in SLC or Provo?

Look for ‘Real Deals’! They have a couple of locations in UT. and the hours are a bit funky, but they live up to their name. Incredible things at amazing prices!

If you haven’t heard of Savers, try that. There is one in Orem on State street. Always try DI. They have great stuff, which im sure you are aware. There is a really cool place called liquidation warehouse and they have really awesome one of a kind pieces of furniture for pretty cheap, all brand new. Its in Orem (where I live) right below the freeway. Im sure if you googled it, you can find it.

The DI in American Fork and in Sandy are really good. Provo’s DI (thrift store) is okay sometimes, but you have to dig more.

In Salt Lake definitely check out Decades. It has a wonderful selection of vintage clothes for really reasonable prices.
If you want antiques, go to Cats Cradle in Provo, and treasures antique mall in Springville.
(sorry none of these places has their own website, but google will lead you to them with accuracy. )
also, for some unsolicited advice, if you are down in the orem/provo area, eat at Pizzeria 712(orem) or Communal(provo). SO. good.

You MUST go to Star Mill in American Fork.

PS We went to high school together and I am totally blog stalking you.

I just found your blog via Better After and I love your style. We just moved to UT from Phoenix so I am not sure about stores, but are you in AZ? It seemed like you might be from some of your posts – if so you have to go to K&J furnishings in north phoenix….oh I miss it so. biggest select of old furniture ever.

I think that person means J&K. They are good. Also, it’s not a thrift store but there’s an AMAZING decorating store that used to be only for designers but is open to the public now called Tai Pan Trading Co. Wholesale prices. I PROMISE you’ll love it. I never go to Utah without stopping there. There’s a couple in Utah. Sandy, Clearfield, and St. George. I think they’re pretty much all off I-15. taipantrading.com

The Green Ant is my favorite stop in SLC. It’s full of mid century furniture and decor, and even has a fun vintage clothing shop in the back. Once you’re there just drive around the block and you’ll find fun consignment/antique shops all around you. You can also check ksl.com’s classifieds (they’re much more popular than Craigslist around here). Enjoy!

I almost forgot! DownEast Home is an excellent resource for name brand furniture and decor at wholesale prices. There are several in the area, but my favorites are in Orem, Draper, and Sandy.

Home Again and Hip and Humble are my faves in SLC! I was H&H’s best customer for years! (Sugarhouse area) There are quite a few around that area.

I know someone already said Emilie Jayne, but thats what I would have said also. When we lived in SL, I used to pass it on my way to work, and I always thought it looked super cute. I was determined I would name my daughter Emilie or Ellie Jayne because I thought it was such a cute name. Didn’t happen. Have fun!

My suggestion was Star Mill, but I see you already had that one! It is in the American Fork area. It is an old Flour Mill that actually caught fire and the new owner has turned it in to an Antique’s Store.
It is also an AMAZING photography location. My favorite! 🙂
