I always thought the older and more self-sufficient my boys got the more freedom I would have.
Wrong.
This summer has kicked my little fanny.
Three growing boys has kept me busier than ever.
The constant revolving door of boys in my house, running from one activity to the next, non-stop housework, non-stop pay-the-bills work…
oh, and did I mention we just took over a vintage retail shop?
No complaints…I love my life. We are blessed.
The store is on my mind 24/7.
The Old Flamingo has some of the most amazing treasures. Because we recently took it over for someone else we have yet to put our stamp on it.
I’ve been scouring Pinterest for some retail inspiration and I am inspired to say the least…
These shops are doing it up right.

And, I had to tell you that I can totally relate to a Summer on the run. Same here–the older they get, the more stuff to get them to. Such busy bodies they are!

They need less attention as they get older yet I’m so much busier with them. That’s a math problem that doesn’t make sense. 🙂
