Resolutions.

January 1, 2011 by Michelle Hinckley |

For the first time since I was 23 my New Year’s Resolutions don’t include a new diet program. In fact, today I plan on eating greasy Mexican food, ice cream and whatever else doesn’t aggravate my pregnancy induced heart burn.

Yes, I’ve gained weight.

QUITE A BIT OF WEIGHT.

The kind of weight the makes your jaw line disappear and your ankles turn in to cankles.
Oh well. Pregnancy is the one time when it’s perfectly acceptable to gain lots of weight so pass me another slice of pie please. My belly is so big I can no longer reach my toes. Luckily this wonderful man has become my pedicurist.
We both agree it’s quite possibly the worst paint job ever but beggers can’t be choosers and I’m nothing but grateful.

My dad emailed and asked me what’s the best possible script I could write for myself in 2011.
It’s a worthy and wise question. Definitely one worth putting a pen to paper to as I ponder it today.

What about your script for 2011?

Complain now, but those few extra pounds are worth it. And what a man! He doesn’t mind being photographed applying polish to your toes! Happy New Year!

Love your post! I so feel your pain… I gained 77 lbs with my first pregnancy and 50 with my second. I am normally 120 pounds, gaining half your body weight is hard to tote around! How much longer do you have?? Happy New Year to you!

I can relate, girl! I’ve been eating away this pregnancy too. But hey, here is to guilt-free living in 2011! Hope the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly.

(And how did you convince your husband to give you a pedicure…I want one! Haha!)

Aww thats so sweet!! My hubby used to clip my nails for me too when I was pregnant. I think it was in self defense because my nails were like daggers and used to catch him when were in bed lol. I’m working on my script for 2011, the one thing I’m certain of is that I have to do better in all areas.

I feel your pain. I too always gained lots of weight when I was put on strict bed rest with ALL of my pregnancies! Pure torture…but it’ll come off, never fear! ;-D In the meantime…enjoy all the food, pedicures and sleep while you can! Happy New Year to you and your cute family!

I’m on my 4th pregnancy and I’m only 11 weeks. I can’t believe how quickly my tummy has jetted out. I’m pretty sure next week I won’t be able to see my toes. For me in 2011 I would say a healthy baby, happy family, and lots of laughter. I love your blog!

What a great hubby! Did the pedicure include an foot massage :)? I just blogged about my new year’s resolutions. This year was a little different. I was in the midst of a cancer-scare (fortunately the biopsy was negative) and began focusing more on what was important to me. So this year’s list was different than my usual generic items that never seem to get accompllished. It has been a lot of fun focusing on a few, but meaningful goals.
