Potty talk.

December 21, 2010 by Michelle Hinckley |

I’m so sick of pee on the floor.
No amount of daily wiping, scrubbing or disinfecting really help.
Last time we visited grandparents in Vegas someone in our family (who has been promised anonymity) broke the toilet seat. A few months and diet later we came back to visit and discovered a really cool new invention. A kiddie seat option designed right in to the regular seat.

No more stand alone kid potty sitting in the corner of the bathroom floor.
No more removable seat dripping with kuck after use.
I’m heading straight Home Depot when I get home.

That is so smart! I hate those stand alone potty seats… where do all of the drips manage to hide in those things???

It is wonderful (as compared to a ring or potty). But watch out for drips hiding between the two seats. You have to check and wipe before you sit down, grown-ups.

i too, think this is an incredible solution to the ugly, yucky, annoyance of a potty sitting off to the side in the bathroom. or in the middle of the floor to trip over during a mid-night bathroom break from sleeping. i can see how drips between seats, could leave us grown ups with a wet behind but i’ll supply wipes on the back of the toilet for inbetween uses and get rid of the stand alone potty asap. …and to think, Hubs works for Home Depot and has NEVER mentioned this!

We have one! Works well for little behinds. We only have on our hall bath toilet upstairs but now I am thinking we might need one on the first floor when my little guy starts potty-training next year. Here it is on Amazon –

We got one after seeing it at a friends house. Picked it up at Home Depot for $30. Best 30 bucks I ever spent! Whoever thought of this is my hero!!

Sure beats the 20 degree below zero, stinky, wind blowing up your butt, where the hell’s the paper, outhouse I knew as a boy…but that’s another story…another time. Sigh, fond memories.

looks great to me…however, this would require for me to force the boys to sit…you know that just takes too long for them 🙁 so i have made them only use 1 toilet in the house…yes that means they have to run up 2 flights of stairs sometimes when they have to pee!! however, boys usually have a much stronger bladder than girls?!

On a wim I decided to stop by the blog. I was so pleasantly surprised!!! I have the same problem with Tenley. I don’t know if it would be any messier of she were a boy, she is so distractible she just stands up mid stream! Do they sell these AT hd or are you buying the parts to fashion your own?

As one of 6 girls I don’t know much about this topic but judging from the amount of diapers I’m changing now my lil’ guy (3 mths old) will be teaching me plenty about this…oy!
