You know those people who leave their Christmas lights and decor up months past the actual holiday? Yeah, THOSE type…lazy people.
That was us this year.
We desert dwellers were too thin-blooded to venture up on a ladder in the frigid temperatures to take it all down (that’s the excuse we’re sticking to anyway).
At any rate, I’m ready to start dressing up my front porch with some summery decor and I’m totally smitten by outdoor curtains as an option.
In most cases, they’re purely decorative as opposed to functional but they give such a sense of warmth and stateliness…I’m sold!

Are you a fan?
I’ve been searching high and low for some black and white striped curtains and found a few options at some of my favorite stores but ooooo, are they pricey.
So the cheapskate frugalness in me found some outdoor fabric online and I’m making them myself (with maybe a little help from mom).
Stay tuned!

I, too, am looking for outdoor curtains for my front porch. We live in an old craftsman bungalow, in the historic district of town, and I want the panels for both shade, privacy and decor. I think they’d looke great- if I could just find some that I could afford! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you come up with! Good luck!
