Our new Balsam Hill Christmas Tree.

December 13, 2013 by Michelle Hinckley |

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree…
Please don’t tip o-ver this year.

When the hubs and I were newly married we were poor.
Ramen noodle, crackers and water, college student poor.
We were going to school in Hawaii and didn’t have enough money to fly home for the holidays (wah right) so we had a Mele Kalikimaka Christmas.
Our sweet friends busted in to our converted carport apartment and decorated our place complete with the narstiest tree (it smelled funny and kept tipping over) but it was wonderful and we loved them for it. Over time we upgraded our tree every few years (which we usually found on “after holiday clearance”).

This year we feel like we have officially arrived because we have a Balsam Hill pre-lit artificial tree!
It wasn’t until after I laid eyes on my California Redwood Balsam Hill tree that I realized all artificial trees are not made the same.
Ooooo no.
I kid you not it looks just like a real tree. We’re talking the creme-de-la-creme of trees.

2nd to last

We even got ambitious and filmed the setting up the Christmas tree. (Sorry in advance for the color of the picture…apparently dropping your camera isn’t a good thing).

Setting it up was super easy and super fast.
Literally 5 minutes. (I just wish everyone was just as eager to help take the tree down after the holidays as putting it up).
Balsam Hill is known for their exclusive True Need Foliage. Check out those pine needles…

They look like real needles, not plastic-y.
If you haven’t been to Balsam Hill’s site you must check it out. They have a lot of trees in all shapes, sizes and colors you could imagine.
They also have a beautiful line of wreaths, holiday decorations and more.
Here are my top picks:

There’s still time to shop for a gorgeous tree that you’ll never need to upgrade.
