Oreck Magnesium Vacuum review and giveaway.

Boy, oh boy, do I have the ultimate giveaway for you!
Oreck sent me their new Magnesium Vacuum Cleaner to review a few weeks ago.  
I vowed to be completely honest and no sugar-coating.
Let’s just say my little apartment has never been cleaner.
First of all it is so LIGHT! My old vacuum was so big and bulky (and I’ve got the biceps to prove it). 
The Magnesium is light enough that I can now put my boys to work with zero guilt of child labor. 
It really is so easy to manage I actually use it more often.
It sucks up every last crumb on carpet…
…and does equally as well on hard surfaces.  I should know too…I despise using a broom and dustpan.  In fact, I’ve had three vacs in the past that claim to vacuum hard surfaces and none have worked well.  The problem is they blow the mess all over the floor when the vac gets close but the Magnesium vacuums without making a tornado mess!
It even worked on my jute rug.
This is my old vac filter which had to be cleaned after each use.
I actually had a rock outside that I designated as my “filter banging rock”. 
The Magnesium uses bags that you simply throw away when they’re full.  Simple.
The Magnesium also comes with this hand-held vacuum to clean hard to reach nooks and crannies.
I’m sensing a new addition to the chore list.

  22. The extra long cord is something that really attracts me to this vacuum! I hate having to stop, unplug the vacuum, find another plug and start vacuuming again. Another plus is the easy transition between carpet and hard floors!

  67. I love that it is gentle on Persian rugs. My current vacuum eats up our rug and when I empty the canister I feel like I’m throwing our rug away with each vacuum job.

  509. I misunderstood directions and left my post on the Oreck FB page…but I have learned from 4 men & 1 lady I will never stand over my barrel with the mini whisk broom, slowly brushing & turning the “yuck” off to re-use a filter. easy roll, easy empty & best suction…Bring It On Oreck !!

  514. The installed HEPA filter is a bonus! I use a tiny Oreck handheld vac (a hand-me-down) on my stairs. After years of use it works great.
