We are getting to the home stretch of the basement remodel and I couldn’t be more excited.
In my complete true-to-form fashion I’ve taken on another major project before the original one is done.
It’s a bad case of Design A.D.D.
At any rate I’ve got my master bedroom remodel on my mind and I’m moving full steam ahead.
I have big plans for a complete overhaul and am gathering up all my design elements to share with you soon.
So I’m in need of some more of your fantastic mad detective skillz.
I’m normally really good at being able so source things but that last two items have eluded me.
There’s only so many times you can stay up till 1:00am surfing online wallpaper stores before you it catches up with you and you throw in the towel.
You guys were so AH-MAZING at sourcing the chandelier I was searching for that I thought I’d through another mystery item at you.
I had a wallpaper in mind, which I still might use, but then I happen to be flipping the channels the other day and stumbled on a new design show called Built
(or maybe it’s old and was a re-run?).
It’s a mix of interior design by guys in tank tops with the element of reality tv. What could be better?
So here’s the latest challenge…
Source the wallpaper in this pic (yes, I took a picture of my tv. This post has reached the lowest of lows).
I love the wallpaper but I can’t say I’m in love with the whole design.
Graffiti’d sofas aren’t really my thang but to each his own.
Are you a fan?
Ready, set, go!
Thank you in advance my wonderful readers!!!
julie says
Nope, not a fan but I did see that wing chair at Copenhagen and thought it was interesting and expensive. I think the chair works in the room but would agree with you on the sofas.

It’s a bit “loud” isn’t it? I do love the rug and the paper of course but the other elements are not for me. π

Hi Michelle,
You should check out this one Etsy shop, AccentuWall. They can create custom wallpaper for you and the prices are fairly good. They also have removable wallpaper which I find to be AMAZING! I often change my mind on design as well.
Michelle Hinckley says
OOO OOO, I have to check it out…but I didn’t see the link. Did I miss it somewhere? Thanks Lauren!
Lauren says
Hi Michelle,

if you find a stencil like this i will be so happy

Michelle Hinckley says
Of course it could be none other than Anna Spiro! I adore her. Maybe that’s why I didn’t consider it too long…the price must have deterred me. Off to look for a similar stencil (or diy one). Thanks Brigitte!

Michelle Hinckley says
Gosh darn, I should have known better. I LOVE Anna Spiro’s style and papers. Good job girl! Thanks!
Sarah says
Ha. Apparently this lasted a whole two episodes!!
Soma says
I’m all for eclectic interiors, but I definitely think this room missed the mark.
Michelle Hinckley says
Well said. I concur! π
Laney Reusch / Reusch Interior Design says
Anna Spiro!
I’ve seen that wallpaper all over the ‘net and love it myself! It even comes in hot pink, I think. Swoon.
I’m sure the bedroom will be fabulous! Can’ wait to see your plans unfold!
Michelle Hinckley says
Thanks Laney…it’s coming together slowly but surely. Thanks for your vote of confidence! π
Cathy says
Take your pic into kinkos and blow it up. Then trace it making any changes to make it your own. Have a custom stencil made. Cheaper than wallpaper for sure!
Michelle Hinckley says
WHAT? This is genius! I never thought to do that? Have you done it before? If so, I’d love to see how it turned out! Thanks Cathy!
Cathy says
I didn’t do for a stencil but for several art projects. Kinko’s has a machine that blows up really big and relatively cheap. See here….

Did for Schumacher dragon wall art panels my daughter wanted as the fabric was too costly…

NO STINKIN WAY! THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME IDEA! THANK YOU FOR PASSING IT ALONG CATHY!
Cathy says
Ps transferred the pattern from Kinkos with graphite paper.

The wallpaper is the best part! I went through so many different colors when I redid my bedroom that it almost drove me crazy, but it was worth it.
Michelle Hinckley says
I’m so excited for some wallpaper I can hardly stand it! Glad to know you’ve liked yours!
