Sunburst mirrors are all the rage. I keep thinking they might start to loose popularity but they are only gaining momentum. One would be perfect above my bed in my new room.

Problem is they come with a hefty price tag.
I found this one at Home Goods. Wrong color and too small. Price, $29.00…SOLD!
Time to DIY it up a bit.
BBQ Bamboo skewers at the grocery store: $0.97.

What do you think?
Awesome DIY! Great job!
I had to post this right away! I love love it. I think sunburs mirrors are classic. I have one above my bed too, it was a tacky tacky gold thing from Ross, and I spray painted it hammered silver. Of course I didn’t take pictures!
You’ve done it again. It is just elegant against the dark background. Can’t wait to see the whole thing.
Looks amazing. Reminds me of when I spray painted my hideous white chandelier with a hammered copper paint and made it look brand new again!
I wasn’t sure about the skewers at first but very nice job!!!!
INSANE! I LOVE IT! your blog has honestly become like crack for me. Would you believe me if I told you I was looking for a sunburst mirror for above my bed too. Weird! My friend just bought one at marshall’s for $5! I’m headed to homegoods right away. You are AWESOME!
I think you are brillant. Seriously!
I love it, I saw the mirror at our HomeGoods about a month ago and thought the same thing that it was too small. I love what you did with it, I might just have to try it myself.

Hi! I saw your sunburst mirror and I just couldn’t help but comment. It is fabulous! I love it! I’m totally inspired to do this for above the dresser in our bedroom. Thank you for sharing!
If you are still looking. Try Michael’s Craft Stores. I recently bought one for about $50.00, after my coupon. It’s nice and big and is beautiful above my bed. They had three different styles to choose from. They are usually located in the seasonal home decor section (august-december).
Ok-
So I just found your blog and you might be one of the most creative person that I have ever seen on a blog!
The bamboo skewers are just the most clever idea ever. You took something and really made it your own. I can’t wait to look at everything else on your blog- that bedroom make over really caught my eye and I am loving the grey horizontal stripes in another room. Like I said- I just found you- seems that I have a lot to catch up on. Looking forward to reading more.
