My new dresser.

August 6, 2009 by Michelle Hinckley |

I got me-self a dresser! Found it on Craigslist. Thought the trip would take me 45 minutes…ended up taking 3 hours…in a truck with a broken radio and no a/c… 105 degree weather. When I finally made it there I had a lovely sweat ring in the seat of my pants. Nice.
This place was in the middle of NO WHERE! Mapquest didn’t even no where it was. Apparently the lady who lived there had no idea where she was either because her directions were…dot…dot…dot…

Anwway, here we are…my new/old dresser, me, the open road and a whole lot of bugs on the windshield. Can’t wait to work some magic on it!

Michelle – came across your blog today and I love it! I’m also a 32 year old mom of two boys. Unrelated to this post, but can you tell me what color paint you ended up using for the boys room?

    Hi Danielle,
Thanks for visiting! I painted my boys room “Universal Gray” from Glidden.

Whew! Thanks for sharing this road trip. I’ve been feeling guilty all week since our last conversation about me telling you not to focus on housework but to focus on college…This three hour sweaty detour is a tiny tiny justification…(Hey, ya gotta take what you can get!)

I have been tired ever since I read and mentally gone through the experience you did. I got a sore throat, etc. just from the saga. Anyway, can’t wait to see the end result. No doubt it would be worth it.
