Last season we took out some trees that were located in our front yard.
We never got around to leveling the dirt and planting grass…
Now let me say this. I don’t like dirt, or mud, or mess. But if it keeps my 4 men (yep, the Mr. included) for hours then I can see the good in it.
Boys are attracted to dirt like moths to a light. Add some water to that dirt and they’re in Heaven!
It’s been chocolate mud pies for days around here.
This little mud garden comes complete with streams, rivers and an irrigation system for the town of ants below.
The Mr. made this 30 second video using a cool new free app called Tiny Tales…
btw, I’m not affiliated with them and I’m not getting paid to plug them (but I’m open to offers…wink).
It’s actually pretty sweet. It’s done all on your iphone.
You shoot a clip, edit the video and it spits out the cutest little 30 second video set to music.
And the cool thing is it takes just a few minutes.
Here’s another one we made with our backyard zip line.
We got the zip line on Zulily a while ago and installed it in the backyard this spring. It’s a bit low to the ground, which we plan on fixing, but it’s not a problem if you’re 5 years old or you’ve got abs of steal and can kick your legs above your head and dangle upside down while zipping across the yard.
If you make it successfully to the end of the line you’re entitled to perform one 1970’s disco or the booty shaking, celebratory dance.
Take your pick.

So many fun things at your house! The zip line really wins the prize though. If we had the space in our backyard, I would like to try some of these ideas

I am trying to make a video but the picture is too small. Cuts my kids head and feet off. Did you have this problem?

Hmmm, that’s weird? I’ll have to check out the program again…

Hilarious! Especially the dance at the end! 🙂
