Mud pies.

April 27, 2012 by Michelle Hinckley |

It’s been one of those weeks.
Got an email from a VERY cross woman that gave me some serious heartburn.
One of my little men broke a sprinkler and a door AND painted the exterior brick on the house then chased the neighbors cat up a tree (all in a matter of 5 minutes).
Got the bill from this little episode.
Who knew 24 hours in the hospital could cost $5000.00?
Co-pay isn’t nearly that much but enough to make us break in to our ramen supply for the next week.
To top it off I have a wicked hang nail that hurts like the dickens.
Oh yes, it’s a dirt eating week.
On a more postitive note…
I had the exciting opportunity to curate a collection for Joss and Main.
.
Event will go live next Thursday, May 3rd.
Last but not least, don’t forget to enter our latest giveaway for a piece by Jesse Miller here.
A vacation here would do me good.

Love the healthcare in this country….2-3 hours in the ER cost me $2000.00+ and I don’t have health insurance.
On a better note my daughter ate dirt and sand all the time and my son wacked off my mother’s roses. Gotta love the kids

I use 100% Tea Tree oil for a lot of things, & hang nail pain is one of them. If you just take a tiny, tiny bit & put it on the hang nail spot it will help with the pain til you can fix the hang nail. 🙂

    $5000???

Thank goodness I live in Canada. The bill would’ve been a big fat GOOSE EGG.

Well if he fills up on dirt that’ll leave more ramen for the rest of you right? JK but I hope you have a good weekend and a better week next week.

PS. For the hangnail I like Lansinoh the medical grade lanolin that they sell for nursing moms.

Isn’t it nice to have gotten your whole year’s worth of crap over and done with by the end of April?

Think of how nice the rest of the year will be now! 😉

Who could say anything cross to you?! Meh. I hope that’s resolved by now… 🙂

And yeah, don’t get me started on the hospital bill…

I giggle (out loud) every time I scroll down and see your son’s image with the comment “dirt eating week”. It is similiar to my son’s “eating a dead bug found in the sliding door frame” situation. Thanks for the laugh!
