Our neighbor has a cherry tree.
A few branches hang over in to our yard.
Having lived their entire lives in the desert (where very little grows), my men were enamored by the idea that one can grow food in your own backyard.
They’ve been patiently impatiently waiting for the cherries to ripen.
A drawing table right under the cherry tree seemed like a neat idea to pass the time and illustrate on paper the ripening process day by day.
The day finally came where the cherries didn’t make you pucker and were ripe enough to pick.
If the branch hangs in our yard doesn’t that mean they’re fair game?
Maybe I’ll take a crack at my first cherry pie or two.
Then take one to the neighbor to say thanks!

I’m sure if you share some pie with your neighbours, they won’t mind! It’s always fun waiting for things to grow so you can pick and eat them!

Seems like fair game to me! And at least you’re giving back to them by making a pie. I doubt they’ll mind one bit that you used cherries from their tree. 🙂

Definitely fair game! They look tasty!

Fair game for sure! But more importantly, your boys are adorable…really precious.
