I have a few lacquered trays that I purchased from Target after Christmas. They all in the closet, I think I might use a couple in the space that I’m working on.
Love your blog been reading it since last year totally hooked! As of today am now a follower. Love the ideas, creativity, renovations, the pup and the babe super adorable.
Great idea… I just picked one up and put it back down the other day…. thinking I should have gotten it. I have the same question about the wash your hands sign as someone above… I want one.
Great selection. The company I work with also produces lacquer trays, we’ve been working with the same artisans in Vietnam since the mid-90s. The technique was pioneered in Japan and the Vietnamese have embraced it. You can check out our range at http://www.nomliving.com
we are actually thinking of upcycling some of our lacquerware using paint / décourage techniques.
We sell a huge of lacquer trays at http://www.nomliving.com, different shapes, sizes and colours.. also lacquer boxes. We have been working with the same producer for over 15 years.

She’s a beauty! Did you use a high gloss paint or do some kind of shellac finish? Such a good idea…
