Have you guys been following Stacey from Not Just a Housewife’s, Styled X3 challenge?
Here’s how it works…Stacy will buy three of the same item. She keeps one and gives the other two to her blogger friends.
All three bloggers will style and photograph that item in their own homes then reveal on the same day.
Stacy sent Mindi (My Love 2 Create) and myself a set of Numbered Leather Coasters.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with them.
Then it hit me…
This DIYgigantic magnetic board has been on my to-do list to organize for over a month. It’s the catch all for all stray papers. Stacy’s gift gave me an idea…
I took my hot glue gun and glued some magnets to the back of the coasters.
Then I sifted through every piece of paper and cleared off the board.
Next I assigned each boy in the house a number.
Dad: 1.
Oldest boy: 2.
Middle boy: 3.
Youngest boy: 4.
They each put up only the papers they needed next to their designated number.
Now if each boy can keep their magnetic territory neat and organized we’ll be golden.
Thanks Stacy!
Now head on over to see how Stacy used her Numbered Coasters on her blog: Not Just a Housewife
and how Mindi from Love 2 Create used hers.

Such a clever idea! I miss having our large magnet board that used to be in our office. I may need to get another one. This look awesome!

They are perfect for your magnetic boards, I love it! I’ll bet your boys loved having their own spot and number, I know mine would. 🙂

Cool idea. I think all families could use this method of organizing, whether you have kids in the house or not! Couldn’t help but notice the science fair packet. Brings back memories for me. My son had a great time doing science fair projects, mostly on his own when they weren’t required for a class. Great experience for him–he said he learned many skills from many years of science fair competition. Good luck to “Number 2”.

Ha! Ha! Yes, that science fair project is stressing me out. Thanks CMT!

This is such a smart idea. I have the hardest time keeping our “organized area” actually organized. It sounds dumb but totally true.

I know! Why is it the things we create to keep ourselves organized are the hardest things to keep organized? Thanks Katy!
