You’ve been asking for months for a home reveal and I finally have one for you!
This is the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The first photo was taken when we took our first walk through and were considering moving here.
At that time renters still lived there.
At that time renters still lived there.
Not only was everything REALLY dated but everything was also in REALLY poor condition.

To recap what was done…We replaced the carpet for hardwood, changed out all the doors to the rooms, had the cabinet doors replaced with custom ones, changed the hardware, added an additional ceiling light, changed the fixtures and repainted.
Paint: Simply White by: Benjamin Moore
Cabinet doors: Custom
Hardware on cabinet doors: Aubrey Pulls from Restoration Hardware
Lighting fixtures: Trans Globe from Arcadian Lighting
Flooring: Oak planks stained 1/2 Jacobean, 1/2 Dark Walnut
Special thanks to my dear friend Michelle of Wondertime Photo for taking many of the “after” shots and did a marvelous job even with the flu of the century.

What kind of flooring did you put in? I love it! I’m looking for something very similar and I would love to know!

Looks great- fresh and clean. I see some horizontal paneling peeking around the corner next to your built-in cabinets. We are thinking of a similar treatment in our home- can you tell me what product/method you used?
Thanks!

The floors look perfect! I love the stain – did you just mix the Jacobean with Dark Walnut or stain it in layers?

ohhhh, this looks fantatic. I love the mix of white with dark timber floors. So classic, clean and light.

Beautifully done!
Hallways can be so dark and plain, and lighting can be truly U-G-L-Y – but you worked past those issues and your result is really excellent. I hope you will share – via photos – your art decisions for this space.
Thank you for sharing!

I’m not a big fan of flush mounts but this one is perfect for your hallway and adding the light in front of the storage was ideal….jealous of that long hallway mine is so short.
Bethany says
What color white did you use? On the walls and on the trim? White can be so hard to choose!
Michelle Hinckley says
Ben Moore’s Simply White. 🙂
