The other day my son asked me why we’ve never decorated for Halloween.
“Son, when I can get dinner on the table every night then maybe I’ll start thinking about decorating for Halloween…” is what I wanted to say but didn’t.
Holiday decorating hasn’t ever really been high on my priority list but for kids there’s something magical about seeing the house all decked out.
I decided to start with my outside chalkboard…surprise, surprise.
I made up a couple of printables that I copied on to a transparency and shot up on my overhead projector then traced with chalk.
(Feel free to download and print).
Next, taking a page from Anu’s latest Mod Painted Pumpkin project I made some of my own.
I had some gold spray paint left over from my 3M Lamp Makeover so I glammed up some pumpkins.
I’ll admit, once you get started on holiday decorating it’s hard to stop.
I even got carried away made a modern foo-foo Halloween wreath which I’ll share this week too.

Love them! The gold is perfect. My little guy gets so excited too when we decorate for holidays. He saw some Christmas decor when we were shopping and he was already asking when we were going to get our Christmas tree! π
