I have picky eaters at my house.
One of my boys would eat meat at every meal if I let him.
The other boy can stand the sight of meat.
The one thing they all agree on is fruit and veggies are “meh” at best.
I’ve had to learn how to cook and hide the veggies in the meal.
One thing they will drink is a smoothie that I make every morning (and sometimes lunch and sometimes dinner). It’s one way I can be assured they are getting some good stuff in them.
The magical thing about smoothies is that you can throw just about any combination of fruit in the blender and it will taste de-lish. For additives I will sometimes use soft tofu or greek yogurt for extra protein.

Ohhhh the Vitamix! I thought my husband was absolutely nuts when he came home with a $400 blender?! But, I gotta admit, it might have been the best investment ever!! It still blows my mind that we can sneak carrots, broccoli, beets, etc. into smooties, and you would never know! I heart the vitamix.

I use Muscle Milk vanilla powder…only because they have it at Costco but I’ve used a variety and when you get all the ingredients in you can’t really tell a difference either way.

What kind of juice do you use? I too have severely picky kiddos so definitely going to try this!!

I use 100% Pomogranite/Cranberry juice. It’s REALLY tart (as Pomog. usually is) but gets toned down in the smoothie.

Nice step-by-step visual. Easy for my kids to follow. The L-O-V-E smoothies ANYTIME.
I also have a Vitamix (from my parents) Its the best!

Just a little trick for smoothies with spinach in them…freeze it. It make the smoothies less frothy. My Mom and I discovered this by accident, but it really is soooo good. I usually end up freezing about 1/3 to 1/4 of our bags of spinach so that they won’t go bad. And then just use those.
