It was my turn to drive the carpool on Tuesday morning. While I was waiting outside the door (and casually spying through the window) I couldn’t help but notice my friends new addition to her dining room. (These pictures don’t at all do it justice).
HER: “We made it ourselves out of some trim from Home Depot and mirrors from IKEA.”
ME: “AMAZING!”
Using mirrors to open up a room is nothing new but her version is so aesthetically interesting. Oh, and could those curtains be any cooler?! She made them herself as well.
Sort of reminds me of the windows in this kitchen recently featured on Pink Wallpaper.
Spotted this picture on Chiccoles. Um, hello? Can you say high-end?
IKEA sells these “Lots” mirrors at $4.99 for a pack of 4!
Less than $45.00 for her wall of mirrors + trim. CHA-CHING!
I’m SO doing this in my home…now, to find an empty wall.
Very inspiring Harmony.

Wow! That really adds so much to the room. How did I get so many DIY friends?

That is SO cool. I have a huge, empty living wall that would LOVE this mirror.
IKEA fix coming in 3 weeks minus 3 days – yippeee!

Wow, that does look awesome…similar to the Eagan mirror from Pottery Barn that I wanted but it’s $700!

Could you maybe get her do to a guest tutorial, including specific measurements? I’d LOVE to make something like that for the big empty wall in my dining room, but I’d have no clue how to put it together. That would be really great!

Hey, wait a minute. Your last blog was looking for a spare $98.00 for that table. Now you’re spending
$45.00 more bucks? I’m missing something here…

OMG, I would love the tutorial on this. I want to do this NOW. How great. this looks a lot like a mirror in Ballard for way more!!!
Amy says
Please do a tutorial on the mirror. I have been looking for exactly this!!!!
Megs says
I did something similar in my master bedroom with those exact mirrors.(But without the trim so it’s not as spiffy.) However, my wall must not be level because it is known to my friends as “the magic mirror.” lol You instantly lose 20 pounds or half a butt when you look in the mirror. π

I beg you help us with a step by step process… This is exactly what I need. The Pottery Barn is way out of my league, but this one will be perfect…. PLEASE, PLEASE!

Cindy says

I think she glued it to a board behind then added the trim from there. π
