We’re partying Cinco De Mayo style today!
While we’re busy eating enchiladas, flan and virgin strawberry daiquiri’s I wanted to let you know about some uber cool projects I have floating around blog land this week.
Today I’m guest blogging over at Remodelaholic.
Hop on over there to check out this DIY door mat I made out of wood stakes, rope and nuts.
Complete instructions and tutorial pictures are featured on Cassity’s site.
If you follow me on Instagram you saw I filmed a segment on Studio 5 about making cement planters.
In fact, this is the actual planter Brooke Walker and I made together on air.
In other exciting news, tomorrow is my big reveal patio makeover for the Home Depot Patio Style Challenge!
Did you see my tomato cage planter sneak peak a few weeks ago?
This and other diy projects in the full reveal tomorrow on Home Depot’s blog.
Last but not least, in honor of Cinco De Mayo I wanted to remind you about this fun little backyard fiesta I threw last year.
See the full party and diy tissue paper instructions here.
Enjoy and happy Cinco De Mayo!

Enchiladas? I’m coming over! Love the door mat project. I could use that with all the muddy wet weather we’ve been having.

Hi, Im a mexican girl and and very vey intrigued. What americans celebrate on 5 de mayo?.
Michelle Hinckley says
That’s a good question. You have to understand that we Americans love a good party…even if we aren’t celebrating our own holiday it’s an excuse for us to party. Yep, we’re a bit coo-coo like that. 🙂
