Chandelier love.

October 8, 2013 by Michelle Hinckley |

OK peeps, I need your help!
My eyes fell upon this sitting  room on Pinterest the other day.

4e8bbdb34eeee18afaa652a23a2a0555

The light fixture hanging from the ceiling made my heart skip 5 beats.
I have found my light fixture soul mate and have to have it!
I love, love, love it almost as much as Ben and Jerry’s ice cream…NO… more.
Problem is, I can’t source it anywhere. The Pinterest link was broken (don’t you hate that).
I’m pretty sure it was featured on Domino.com but I still can’t find it and Google Images must have been out to lunch ’cause it was no help.
Begging for your source finding assistance.
And please don’t tell me it’s like $5000. either because then I’ll have to diy it and I’m sure it will turn out crappy.

Winner gets a prize!

Addition:

I have the best blog readers! I received a lot of options with links as all you scoured the web looking for this fantastic chandelier.
Nikki found it on Ebay where the starting bid is a mere $995.00
@#$%!

Chandelier

Hot dang!
I’m sure my boys would be fine with me spending a couple month’s of their college savings for this beauty.
Nikki, email me. You’ve got yourself a prize coming…a small prize. I have to save up and possibly donate a kidney for a kick butt chandelier.

Thanks Beth! Yes, I’ve seen that one. It’s lovely and I just might if I can’t find this one or it’s too much. 🙂

The picture is of a townhouse owned by Ali Cayne of Haven’s Kitchen (havenskitchen.com). I saw this photo on another blog yesterday – maybe you could email her and ask where it’s from. Good luck!

Allison, you are a doll to go on the hunt. I actually really like your options, especially the one from Y Lighting. Now if it comes in brass or gold, sold! Thanks girl!

I’m so glad you chose today to comment! My fave so far out of all the ones emailed is definitely that option you selected from Barn Light Elect. Swoon! I would pick that in a heartbeat! But hot dang on the price. My son wouldn’t mind that I bought a super fab chand-y with his college savings, right? 🙂

This is different but could be closer if the glass was switched out?

I don’t know why it never occurred to me to look on Etsy. Duh. That chand-y is super-di-duper. I agree with you…just need some different shades and it would be fab. Off to scour etsy some more. Thanks Jenny!

D#@%! I don’t know if I’m happy or sad. Both. Why do all the pretties have to be so stinkin’ expensive? Oh how I wish I could strike oil in my backyard. I would buy thousand dollar light fixtures for every room in my house. Ok, you totally get a prize! Don’t expect much, I’ve got to pinch my pennies now that I know I have an expensive chand-y to save up for. He! He! You are A~W~E~S~O~M~E (sung in my best Oprah-oprah voice). What’s your mailing address?

It’s totally an Eames chandelier! Since that is kind of spendy, I’m going to hook you up with my new favorite lighting source.

I love ATG stores for their lighting. Everything I’ve bought from there has been amazing quality and really great.

Hi! I was doing google searches of Haven’s and found this – thank you so much for your kind words about my house…the light is from Rewire gallery in LA and it’s smaller than it looks in the photo…it’s not inexpensive, sorry to say, but I’d love to see a DIY version if you make one – email to me at havens kitchen! xo

I have some friends who live in Lincoln, Nebraska and they recently moved into a house that has original tile and light fixtures from the once illustrious Cornhusker Hotel (now torn down). They have these huge gold light fixtures that look something like this, but they lucked into them. You could always keep an out out for renovation projects of hotels and school buildings and try to score something similar for a cheap price, if not free.
