Making it through a renovation is kind of like catching a fly with chopsticks...
if you survive it you can accomplish anything.
I would have never believed a renovation could be as stressful as it was.
It completely turns your life upside down and oh, do I have some stories to tell.
It's been a long, laborious and expensive lesson project.

Easy fix for hanging dish towels.
I just received some new dish towels from Joss and Main.
The problem with dish towels is it's hard to get them to hang lovely...
and they end up on the floor after every use.
For a quick and easy fix I sewed a small square of velcro on each corner.
You could also sew a line of velcro the length of the towel but I find a small amount in the corner works fine.
Then you just stick them together in the corners.
No more falling on the floor.

Arcadian Lighting Review.
Yesterday I revealed my redone hallway.
One of the new additions in the hallway are these lovely new light fixtures from Arcadian Lighting which are Trans Globe Flush Mount Fixtures.
It has been said that one of the most neglected elements in a remodel is attention to lighting.
These two pictures were taken at approximately the same time of day.
In both pictures the walls are white (although slightly different shades) but the difference is huge.
