I finally turned on the heater this week so it's officially fall (in my book anyway).
I love fall. Leaves changing colors, fires in the fireplace and yummy apples.
For a fun treat I like to bake a single apple in the oven.
Here's how I do it.
I've tried baking every type of apple. They're all good but my favorite is a Honey Crisp.
***Tip: If your apple is lop-sided and wants to keep tipping over you can poketoothpicks in the sides near the bottom to keep it from rolling.***

DIY Chore List Board.
My boys wake up between 6-6:30am...much too early for my liking.
We can put them to bed at 7pm or 11pm and they'd still get up between 6-6:30am.
Even though we have almost two hours to kill before school starts we still seem to have real issues getting our motor runnin' in the morning. If there's one thing that drives me nuts (besides boys waking up too early in the morning) it's scrambling to get out the door in a panic.
I made up a daily morning list for my oldest boy in Excel (super easy,
Caitlin Wilson pillow giveaway.
We all know the fabulously, talented Caitlin Wilson, right?
I can still remember when I first laid eyes on her apartment in Dubai. I about fell off my chair as I scrolled through each gorgeous picture. She's a world traveling, interior-designing, wife and mother with impeccable style.
And, she has the most beautiful line of fabrics and pillows that add a bold hit of color and pattern to any room.
I'm planning on using a couple of the Hong Kong Cobalt Pillows that will be ideal for my
Painting the garage.
Painting the garage project is underway.
The garage used to have 70's plastic arches on the windows.
They cracked so were removed (thank goodness) and these long windows were left.
We had a piece of wood fitted to break up the space.
Last Saturday I painted the door with a coat of primer.
Amazing what a coat of white will do.
Already much improved.
Next, a coat of gray to match the bay window.
Thank you for all your opinions and comments!
A beautiful story.
Exciting news, my blog will be undergoing a makeover, hopefully to be unveiled at the new year designed by none other than my sister-in-law Erin of Designer Blogs.
Erin has done a lot of work for me in the past and I've also shared their desires to adopt.
A few weeks ago they were blessed to adopt a beautiful baby girl named Lily.
You can watch their story below (grab a box of kleenex first).

A modern doll house.
If I were a little girl again this would for sure be at the top of my Christmas wish list! I love that someone finally came along and built a modern take on the traditional doll house.
