Old man flu came to visit 4 out of 5 of us this Christmas (the 5th member was the only one that got a flu shot this year). We're enjoying laying around watching cartoons and watching the snow fall while we nurse ourselves back to health.In the meantime, today I'm over at Rambling Renovators...

Our house is all a-buzz in anticipation for Santa.
It did get quiet momentarily when big, huge snowflakes started to fall from the sky.
There's something magical about snow on Christmas Eve.

Holiday Dinner Party.
Yesterday I told you about the beautiful hydrangeas I received from Flower Muse (here)...
Well they inspired me to throw a holiday dinner party.
The legos got stashed, kids went out with grandparents, and the Mr. and I got dressed up in our finest duds.
Deck the table with white, gold and black.
And lots of candle light.
This was a party with adults,
and adult conversation (that still managed to center around kids),
Food was savored rather than
Flower Muse Hydrangeas.
A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I'd like to do a review on some hydrangeas by Flower Muse. Uhhh, that's a no brainer. So last Thursday, 2 boxes of the most GORGEOUS hydrangeas came to my door.
I'll be honest, I'm always nervous about flowers being shipped from out of state. I get scared that they're going to arrive wilted, dried out and ruined. But when I opened them they were perfectly garden to table fresh.
These hydrangeas were the largest I've ever seen.

Treasure Hunting Tuesday – Pedestal Plates.
For today's Treasure Hunting Tuesday we're re-visiting a project I did two years ago.
I put together plates and candle stick holders found at thrift stores, glued them together and made pedestal plates. Here's how to do it...

Epoxy =
(Make sure to apply a generous amount of epoxy to the plate then attach the candlestick holder to the plate).
