This weekend we hosted my cousin and her fiance for dinner.
Being as Valentine's Day is just a few days away I went all out with the romantic theme.
I spotted these vintage, red dishes at my mother-in-law's house a few months ago.
Caring is sharing...she'z coo like dat.
When you have kids you quickly learn how impractical and high maintenance table cloths are.
So instead, I used something a little different and you won't believe where it came from...

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.
Today we're doing our Foodie Friday recipe at the beginning of the week instead of the end so we can get this in before Valentine's Day.
I love chocolate dipped strawberries! They have a romantic and fancy air to them.
If you've never tried making them they are much easier than you might think.
First, thoroughly rinse your strawberries and let them fully dry before dipping them.
Chocolate won't stick to wet berries.
You can use just about any chocolate brick or morsel chocolate. I
Foodie Friday – Mexican Lasagna.
Dinner at our house is sometimes hit or miss. Finding a meal that is pleasing to 5 different palettes can be tricky. At one time I found myself making several meals to cater to each person's request. That didn't last long and it turned in to a loving encouragement to eat with a desert bribe as a reward in the end. That didn't last long either. Now it's pretty much, "eat it or starve". I told a classmate of my plans and she said told me all about this boy that she was quite smitten with who was over in Hawaii. When I arrived I ran in
Valentine’s Day Card #2.
Today I made a quick Valentine card for little man #2 using Picmonkey.
This kid is such a card. The mere mention of girls will have him in stitches.
I created it using many of the same techniques I used for making little man #1's card here.
It was really simple and took me only about 10-15 minutes to make.
Seriously.
Charging station options.
This is becoming a problem...
I realize this picture looks like a plea for an electronics intervention. I feel a real need to explain myself but it's really not what you think. Two of those I-pod clunkers have been deemed for use on long vacation car rides only and the other phone is being phased out since I got my new Windows phone. The other two phones...are...um...well... all right, ALL RIGHT, bring on the intervention!
In the meantime, I'm searching for a way to tame the
