Recently I was invited to participate in Better Homes & Gardens Room Refresh Challenge. The challenge was to see how different I could change up my living room spending only $250.00 on BHG accessories from Walmart. I was really hesitant to participate. My biggest question was, "Could Walmart be stylish?" It's not the first place I would think to shop for home decor. However, I was surprised...
Before the challenge this is how my home looked. In my Arizona home I went wild with bold
Mud pies and zip lines.
Last season we took out some trees that were located in our front yard.
We never got around to leveling the dirt and planting grass...
Now let me say this. I don't like dirt, or mud, or mess. But if it keeps my 4 men (yep, the Mr. included) for hours then I can see the good in it.

New house numbers project and a giveaway!
This week I've teamed up with Proctor & Gamble and The Home Depot to bring you a new project and giveaway opportunity. At the first sign of 50 degree weather this year I wasted no time and headed outside to get a jump start on quite a few home projects that have been on my mind all winter. diy outdoor curtains.

So instead I surfed some online fabric stores and found an outdoor, black striped material for $9.99/ yard. $59.94 later I had my fabric and was ready to enlist my mom's sewing machine and expertise to sew up my own outdoor curtains.
My mom made sewed the tabs to hide on the inside, top panel. The rod gets hidden

My boy...
I just love him.
Some fun project reveals on the horizon!
DIY Magnetic Board.
I've been busy at work with the Mr. making and installing a new DIY magnetic message board.
This wall off our kitchen has sort of become our make shift message center. We end up taping any important notes, forms, invites, etc. right here so naturally it was the perfect place for a message center. I was originally going to make a cork board message center but then I saw a much smaller magnetic board for sale for on one of my favorite shopping sites for around $200.00. A bit pricey so I
