For the past few years I've been adding the 1st aid cross to several items around my house for a little embellishment.
It's an easy way to take something vanilla and give it some visual interest.
I recently scored some vintage medical jars.
Using my Cricut machine I cut some red crosses
Craft Art counters as shelves.
Every home has "tricky spots". I also call them dead spots.
They are places where you can't do a whole lot with but they are valuable real estate.
I've had few of them in this home and had to get creative.
There was this awkward little corner in my son's room.
Then there was this big empty wall in our kitchen.
The latest little makeover we've been working on is in our kitchen/dining room/office.
Yes this little corner of our house does triple duty as our dining room, kitchen and
DIY faux shiplap.
Running a business and raising a family has literally left me zero time to attend to myself, let alone any house projects.
Things are letting up a little bit which allowed me to give this wall a little makeover (plus 6 more all going at the same time).
You may remember this wall looked like this last week...

Tool for detecting water leaks.
I've been helping my dad manage some of his investment properties as of late. A few months ago we had a severe rain storm which caused some flooding here in Salt Lake. Unfortunately one of his properties flooded overnight which caused major headaches and $$$ in repairs.

I was all ears.
Delta calls it their Water Leak Detector and is approximately the size of a donut.
It works
Update.
Well hello there. It's been a while. This past year+ my life took a bit of a detour. To say life has been a whirlwind sounds so cliche but that really is the best description I can come up. I feel like my brain needs to hit the defragment button to put everything back where it belongs in my psyche. I have much to share about what has transpired and much to share about future plans but right now I am popping in to say, "hello". I'm still alive. Life is good. My 4 men are wonderful and my rocks.
Eclipse 8.21.17
Today we joined millions who stopped what they were doing for a moment and looked to the Heavens to witness the 2017 Eclipse.
Amazing how a little bright dot in the sky can cause such an awe-inspiring reaction.
Thank you to Guyos of Guyos Time for sharing his ISO approved viewing glasses in the parking lot in front of his shop.
Science is cool.
Glad we got to witness such an epic event!
Google says the next one will be in 2045 and can be seen in totality in Eureka,
