I know, I know.
I said I would be back on Wednesday with a phenomenal giveaway from Plush Rugs and here it Friday and still no giveaway.
To say, "It's been one of THOSE weeks" sounds so cliche but seriously, IT'S BEEN ONE OF THOSE WEEKS!
The kind of week where you think it can't get any worse.
3 kids + 2 parents ALL with coughs and colds.
Then...
3 kids + 2 parents ALL contract the stomach flu.
Just when we come up for a breath...

Basement Family Room Reveal.
Today is the day.
Basement family room reveal day!
This project has been over 2 years in the making...
1 1/2 years of talking and dreaming, 1 year of construction, 4 major arguments, 2,358 gray hairs and 54 trips to Home Depot.
Regardless of the stress and headache, the basement is D-O-N-E and we are H-A-P-P-Y (and still married).
A brief revisit of where we started when we were still bright eyed and bushy tailed...

The toilet flushes, the water is hot, no leaks, we're in business people!
Drum roll please...

After much discussion and helpful input from many of you it seemed the majority were

One of the things on her bucket list was to write a design book (yes, she's got big ticket dreams on her bucket list...kudos girl!).
I felt very honored to be on her photograph list.
So when you clean your house for hours you've got to pull out your camera and document the momentous occasion.
One of my decorating challenges in this room is the mantle area.
