This week's plan was to go through every aspect of my kitchen and give you a full review...
then I had a little procedure done...
which took me out...
so the Mr. took off work...
and mom came to help out too...
so I took full advantage of recovering in bed while catching up on episodes of Survivor...
it's been great...
(except for that pesky recovery part).
No need to be alarmed, all is well and fine.
I'll share the full scoop with you soon.
On with the kitchen review.
As a refresher,
Reviewing my own house…kitchen counters.
Over two years ago we finally moved in to this house we had been remodeling for about 9 months. The remodel was no picnic. In fact, making expensive design choices, babysitting contractors, shuffling back and forth to the house everyday to monitor progress with children + newborn in tow while also trying to carry on a normal life nearly did me in. On the flip side we did get a beautiful house in the end and we're really enjoying living in it.

I've went a little nuts with cement last week and made several DIY creations.
I am guest posting on Remodelaholic today where I share complete instructions and directions on making these cement creations! Enjoy!

This boy can be mischief but he can do no wrong in my eyes.
What can I say?
I just love him.
I'd buy him a pony if he asked me to.
*Yes, I cleaned and sanitized the sink previous to bath time.* :)
$250. giveaway to Plush Rugs.
As promised, I'm back this week with a fab giveaway from Plush Rugs!
Last week I revealed our basement family room...
It was lovely but we first and foremost needed an area rug to anchor the space and define a seating arrangement.
The Mr. couldn't understand why would need to cover up our brand new floor with a rug.
I started with my decorator's speech about the fine art of layering to which his eyes glazed over.
All I needed to say was, "So your little toes-ies don't get cold." That did
