Getting the house Christmas-ified has awakened the decorating beast inside me this past month.
The plan this year was to set up the Christmas tree right in front of the huge picture window in the living room. It looked great in my mind before we set it up. Then when we actually got it up, it threw the whole feng-shui off for the entire room. I lived with it for as long as I could (3 days) then I told the Mr. it had to be moved. You want to see a man's eyes roll so big they actually fall out of
Feeling furniture restless.
At this point you've probably guessed that I change up my rooms.
A lot.
I'm starting to wonder if there may be some underlying physcological something-or-other about needing to constantly change up one's space?
Probably.
Until I'm clinically diagnosed I'll be moving more of my furniture around.
The Mr. and I have been loving our new bedroom.
(Our youngest loves it too...I find him in my bed every morning).
I scored these night stands at a yard sale for $10.00 each. I then painted them
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving friends!
On this day of feasting I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to my wonderful online friends who keep coming back and supporting me through this creative endeavor I so love called blogging. The responsibility to be a good mommy, wife, house cleaner, chef, small business owner, etc. often fill my days beyond belief but blogging recharges my batteries and brings me great joy. So thank you for being audience to my passion.

I have a friend.
She has 4 boys.
They are the kind of boys that are sweet, well- behaved and liked by everyone.
In their spare time they go around the state winning chess championships. When they aren't doing that, they're out winning tennis, baseball and basketball trophies.
I have no doubt they'll probably run the country in a few short years.
They're like the modern day version of the Kennedy's...living right down the street.
She'll laugh, but it's true.
They live in this house that
Making it a White Christmas with Cricut Explore.
We did something very un-Hinckley-like last Sunday...we set up the Christmas tree.
The Christmas spirit doesn't usually hit our house until well in to December. However, thanks to retailers pushing Christmas down our throats in October my little men have been begging to get the Christmas ball rolling around here.
When in Rome...
I've found that my tastes change from year to year when it comes to holiday decorating. Last year I did touches of gold everywhere...this year not so much. I've
DIY Upholstered Wing Bed.
You've been asking and asking for our Upholstered wing bed "tutorial" for over a month.
There's a good explanation why we waited so long to post the "tutorial". Notice every time I mention "tutorial" I've put it in quotations? I'm pretty darn sure a professional bed maker would read our "tutorial" and call our bluff on knowing what we were doing. So I have to preface this whole "tutorial" by saying this was a learn-as-you-go project for us. There are probably 10 much better ways to
