D.I.Y. Projects never seem to go as smoothly in reality as they do in my head.
Check out my hunky carpenter! I managed to break an industrial strength drill bit.
Jake shot me some stink eye for that.
I also drilled all the holes with the drill in reverse.
I kept wondering why there was smoke coming out of the wood.
Confession...My carpenter and I did all the work except cover it. My sewing machine is kinda wimpy when it comes to any material thicker than pantyhose.
What do you think of the
Baby Bliss.
Last night I had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for the lovely "M". What is it about a baby shower that brings out the giddiness in women? Is it too many chocolate dipped strawberries or gawking at teency weency pastel clothes? I dunno, but we sure had fun!Would you believe that I managed to take only ONE photo before the doorbell rang yet again and I forgot about my camera for the rest of the evening? Dang!
Matani’s web.
In high school science class we studied the web spinning patterns of spiders. We would first observe pictures of webs of normal, healthy spiders. We would then look at pictures of webs from spiders who had been exposed to drugs and...let's just say...those webs were a wacked out mess!
Tani is on the mend after a run with Sinusitus and asthma. Thanks to some Penicillin and Prednisone he's doing much better. Here is what he laid out tonight after I tucked him in. Notice he still picked out an

The Karate Kid has become one of our favorite Friday night movies.
Daniel-son has inspired Matani's new hobby. He calls it Karate,
I call it the mini G.I. Joes. Mr. Kim demands respect.
"YES SIR!"
"THANK YOU SIR!"
"ONE, SIR, TWO SIR, THREE SIR..."
Someone else has taken up Karate in our house...(unofficially).
BYU Living Legends.
Last night I went on a date with my favorite 4 year old!
The BYU Living Legends came to Tucson and we were there.
Tani wore his "GQ outfit" and spiked his hair. We were two hotties on the town!
My date was wide-eyed as we were entertained by some spectacularPolynesian, Native American, and Latin dancing.
We had the priviledge of hosting beautiful "T" from AZ and "M" from Mexico in our home for the night. We ate McDonalds at 11pm and they told us of their exciting life on the road as
