I miss you. Our boys miss you. I hope you are enjoying yourself on your business trip. I never fully appreciate the security of having a big strong man in the house until you are away. This week without out you has been lonely...nights have been the hardest. I almost forgoe'd my allergy to animals and asked Jim if I could borrow Spike for the week just to have a barking dog in the house to scare away the Boogy Man. But alas, I found that a metal bat under my pillow gives me suprising comfort.
Enrichment Night.
I was asked to teach a quick segment on how to bring a little pizzazz to gift wrapping at our Enrichment Night this month. Here are just a FEW examples...
Here are a few tips:
DO:
1. DO invest in neutral, sold color wrapping papers. White and black are my favs...it goes with any gender, holiday, or occasion based on how you embellish it (or not).
2. DO embelish. Use anything that has an interesting shape, color or pattern. Tissue paper, scrapbook letters, flowers, toys, ribbons.
3. DO make
"I Touch"-ed It.
I finally found it. Jake got mad that I gave up looking so he gave me a little help. It was hidden behind an engagement picture taken of us in the year 1999. Pretty sweet...thanks Love!
I just can't figure out how the heck to work the thing.
Where's a teenager when you need one?
Another day older and wiser?
When I was 13 years old I tried to imagine what I would be like when I was 25 years old. I envisioned myself wearing makeup, working a rockin' career, and older and wiser. Now that I'm 32, I do wear makeup (usually only on Sundays) , I am a mother (I'd consider that a rockin' career [most days]), but I still feel like I'm 13.I wonder what I'll be like when I'm 42? I'm envisioning I'll finally be able to sit on the commode without anyone watching me. Maybe I'll try wearing makeup 3 days a week

I just can't help myself.
Even old and gaudy mirrors deserve to see another day.
I gave the frame a paint job.
Next, I replaced the mirror (because I broke it) with some cork board.
Lastly, I covered it with an old burlap potato sack.
Finally, a confined space to clutter up with scraps of paper that I will never look at.
