Bathroom storage solutions and a giveaway.

When we did a top to bottom remodel on this house I tried to address every detail and make it perfect.
Impossible.
I have some regrets, some things I wished I would have done differently and some real home runs.
I’ll save the regrets for a different post. As far as the “phew, that worked out” rooms was this bathroom.
To begin with, it was pretty spacious for a 70’s rambler.  Perfect for three boys to share.

Then I did something crazy and moved the wall IN 2 feet.
Yes, I made the room smaller in order to accommodate a shower for the master bedroom on the other side of the wall.
Greedy.

 I was afraid I may have made a huge mistake by making the room smaller but so far, there haven’t been many space problems.
(If they were girls it may be different story).

No, not the towel hooks on the all (although those are great).
The pictures…which are actually not just pictures, but hidden medicine cabinets that I got from ConcealedCabinets.com.

 We were able to fit them right between the joists in the wall and no one knows they are actually storage.
This vanity adjacent is great but offers very limited storage for the whole bathroom which makes the storage cabinets so functional.

  7. i love this! I would pick the white cabinet, and I think I would work it into the gallery wall by my 9 year old daughters bed. she is forever collecting little “things” that are precious to her. I think having a secret hiding spot would be a fun idea for her, and a relief that these pieces have a PLACE for me! 🙂

  11. Holy cow! I didn’t even realize this was A THING – our kids bathroom is super tiny, something like this would be perfect for us and our ever changing storage needs (we are foster parents – so we keep lots of extra things on hand)

  39. White! Probably by the front door – the house we’re in now is great for our current needs, but has no real defined entry (which is is terribly annoying when you need a spot for keys, sunglasses, etc.). 🙂

  44. I am building a new bathroom in my attic loft. It has odd storage because it is an attic and I think this would be just the ticket. I am not 100% sure which color … White would be safe.

  91. We have the smallest master bathroom and this is such a great idea! I’ve been trying to get rid of the terrible mirror/hidden storage for a year and it always come back to we need the storage- so this is a double win in my book!
